WHAT TO EXPECT IN A 90‑MINUTE WEEKLY SESSION

Each weekly session is structured to replicate the training rhythm of professional attacking units. A typical 90‑minute session includes:

1. Arrival & Activation (10 minutes)

  • Professional arrival standards

  • Dynamic warm‑up with ball‑based activation

  • Introduction to the session theme (e.g., finishing angles, 1v1s, movement patterns)

2. Technical Finishing Block (20–25 minutes)

Focused drills linked to the weekly theme, such as:

  • Finishing from different angles and distances

  • First‑time finishing

  • 1v1 finishing against a goalkeeper

  • Combination play leading to shots

  • Crossing and finishing

3. Tactical Attacking Scenarios (20–25 minutes)

Realistic attacking situations, for example:

  • Breaking defensive lines

  • Counter‑attacking patterns

  • Pressing from the front

  • Movement to create space

  • Small‑sided attacking overloads

4. Match‑Play Coaching (30 minutes)

The session ends with a 30‑minute match‑play block designed to apply attacking principles in realistic game situations.

This includes:

  • Age‑group friendly matches

  • In‑play coaching focused on movement, decision‑making, and finishing

  • Real‑time feedback on attacking choices

  • Opportunities to apply the session’s technical and tactical learning

This match‑play element helps forwards understand how to create and convert chances under pressure, improving their confidence, intelligence, and effectiveness in the final third.
