Our coached in match play development sessions will be available to our Centre of Excellence players that want to further improve position specific play. This will be offered by invitation upon launch of our FULL ACADEMY EXPERIENCE.

WHAT THE PROGRAMME COVERS

Coached in Match Play is a dynamic one‑hour training session designed to help players develop real match intelligence in age‑appropriate, game‑realistic situations. Instead of isolated drills, players are placed directly into structured match scenarios where they learn how to read the game, make better decisions, and understand their role within a team.

Across the session, players are coached through key elements of the modern game, including:

• Positions & responsibilities

• Team shape and structure

• Systems of play

• Set‑plays and restarts

• Counter‑attacks and transitions

• Overloads and underloads

• In‑possession and out‑of‑possession principles

Our coaches guide players through each scenario, helping them recognise patterns, improve awareness, and apply tactical understanding under realistic pressure. These sessions are ideal for players who want to take their match performance to the next level and build a deeper understanding of how the game truly works.
