1. What age groups can join the academy?

We welcome players aged 8–18, with training groups structured by age and ability to ensure every player develops at the right pace.
 
2. How do I register my child for open day trials for the Centre of Excellence or the Goalkeeping Academy?

Parents can register online through our booking system (See Packages section). Once registered, you’ll receive confirmation and arrival details for your child’s first session.
 
3. Where does training take place in Warrington?

All sessions run at Warrington Sports Club in South Warrington near Stockton Heath (WA4 6SH) on the grass pitches. Parking is available on‑site, and players should arrive 10 minutes early.
 
4. What does it cost to join the academy?

We offer flexible packages including weekly sessions from £125 per week, goalkeeper programmes from £30, and 1‑to‑1 coaching from £40. Prices vary depending on the programme selected.
 
5. Do you offer pathways to professional clubs?

Yes — we have strong relationships with local professional clubs in the Northwest, giving players the chance to be assessed when they’re ready.
 
6. Are there opportunities for US scholarships?

Through our US partners, Queen City Mutiny, North Carolina, suitable players can be guided toward future scholarship opportunities in America, opening a unique long‑term pathway.

7. Who delivers the coaching sessions?

All sessions are delivered by current and former professional footballers and UEFA coaches, ensuring elite‑level training and real‑world experience.

8. Do you offer girls’ football or mixed sessions?

Yes — we welcome both boys and girls, with mixed sessions available across all age groups. Our girls academy will launch in September 2026.

9. How do you support mental health and wellbeing?

We place a strong emphasis on confidence, resilience, and positive mental health. Our environment is supportive, encouraging, and built around player wellbeing.

10. Can schools partner with Northwest Academy FC?

Yes — we offer in‑school coaching, county pathway support, and opportunities for schools to refer their most talented players into our programmes.
